Ba Tang Quan 八唐拳 Eight Chinese Fists

Starting position

  • Feet together
  • Left hand straight out

One

  • Tiger's mouth block at waist
  • Grab wrist
  • Pull to waist and punch as you step forward

Two

  • Drill block through face with lead hand
  • Grab wrist with lead hand
  • Pull to waist with lead hand while stepping back into horse stance and face block with back hand

Three

  • Reach behind punch
  • Grab wrist
  • Step forward in horse stance and break elbow
  • Cover Strike
  • Big step back with squat while block past feet
  • Step forward while cover and strike

Four

  • Punch through face while lead foot floats back
  • Tiger's mouth block at waist
  • Pull while step back while pulling wrist and punching

Five

  • First time:
    • Wrist escape
    • Pull and punch
  • All other times
    • Wrist escape
    • Pull and punch while stepping forward

Six

  • Drill lock through face
  • Grab wrist
  • Pull wrist to waist while stepping back into horse stance and punch to the temple

Seven

  • Step forward and 45 degrees out
  • Double hand over head block
  • Lead hand chops forward while back hand chops backwards and lead foot kicks forward
  • Before lead foot comes down pull it back and try to grab attackers foot
  • Put foot down in 45 degree position

Eight

  • Punch
  • Step back
  • Avoid kick while trying to grab opponents leg
